4th Workshop
A game with clay.
The game took place in the park, early Sunday morning. The participants were determined to connect with nature. They met, got to know each other, introduced themselves. In a circle, they talked about expectations. The facilitator explained that the work of the game with clay represents freedom of action and movement, a release of tension. Each participant was given the opportunity to choose a piece and start interacting with it: squeeze, roll, modify.
A piece of paper was attached to the wall in advance. When each participant was ready, they could try throwing their piece of clay. At first the participants threw clamped, unsure, timidly. After a while, they loosened up and, engrossed in throwing, trusted the process. The clay did not adhere well to the paper, but participants continued to knead the clay and it began to stick. Towards the end, the participants felt free enough to come up with additional variations of the game, such as splashing and pouring the paper with the water in which they had soaked the clay before. After the game, everyone sat in a circle to discuss what it had been like for them. All participants noted that they felt freer and calmer.
