SCULPTURE AND CLAY

Title of the activity:Sculpture and artist

Date and place: 24.06.2024 - Barons park, Riga, Latvia

Duration: 40-60 minutes

Aim of the activity: To explore non-verbal communication, body awareness, and creative expression by sculpting each other into living statues.
To develop trust and connection within pairs, enhance non-verbal communication skills, discover physical storytelling and body expression and boost creativity and interpretation through observation

Participants info: 10 young people aged 15-25.

Description of the activity:

At first the participants divided in pairs and tried to build connection and understanding with each other by freely modeling their partner. One was an artist, and the second person was clay, so artists tried to express their current mood by positioning their partner in a specific movement. Then different topics were added so the participants explored not only interaction,  but also physical storytelling. After some time participants in pairs changed roles. After that, they tried to do teamworkmodeling according to different feelings. Then the final reflection was held.
