9th Workshop

13th November 2024 - Apostolos Loukas Protipo Kentro Enilikon

The 9th local activity was implemented by both Youth Workers Stathia Michael as well as Eirini Christofi on the 13th of November 2024. Based on the learnings of the second training course in Latvia "Photography and Music as Therapy in Youth Work", Stathia and Eirini focused on the musical aspect of the project. The amount of attendees were 20, with numerous different types of disabilities. As per the previous music therapy-based workshop, this workshop too had 3 parts.

Part 1: Attendees, after receiving different musical instruments, some handmade, but most real instruments, used it to say their denote their names to others, as well as having a short note based dialogue between then.

Part 2: In pairs, attendees, after receiving 2 chopsticks were tasked to engage in movement based on music that was playing in the background. Music was flipped between different genres, in order to change the rhythm of the movement as well as the vibe with the pair.

Part 3: A musical group performance! This performance was made by the attendees, where they were tasks to use whatever musical instruments they had, whether using the musical instruments present, or the use of their body as well as their voice.

It was a successful workshop, once again hosted by Stathia and Eirini
