Report on Workshops for Youth Workers – January 6, 2025

General Information

  • Date: January 6, 2025
  • Location: Poland
  • Participants: A group of 21 youth workers.

Workshop Program

1. Warm-up: Energizer Based on the Hi Ha Hu Game

The workshop began with a 10-minute integration activity based on the Hi Ha Hu game. The game involved maintaining a simple rhythm and reacting increasingly quickly to gestures and commands. It served as an effective way to create a relaxed atmosphere and build participant engagement.

2. Presentation of the CREATIYOK Project

Following the energizer, a brief presentation of the CREATIYOK project was delivered, covering:

  • What the project is.
  • Activities carried out within the project.
  • The target audience.
  • Practical applications.

Main Workshop Activities

3. First Photographic Activity

Participants were asked to take three photos of various objects or items without any explanation regarding the purpose of the task. The photographs could be taken inside the building or outside. The task was completed efficiently and without unnecessary delays.

4. Tornado – Group Photo Analysis

After taking the photos, participants were divided into groups with an even number of members (the so-called tornado). During this activity:

  • Each participant shared their impressions regarding the first photo. The discussion included:
    • Why the object was chosen.
    • What they felt while taking the photo and afterward.
    • How the photo influenced their emotional state.
  • Since each participant took three photos, the process was repeated three times, with group compositions changing each time. This allowed participants to understand a broader emotional context and compare their photos and feelings with those of others.

5. Second Photographic Activity – Current Emotions

In the next activity, participants were given clear instructions to take a photo of an object that represented their current emotional state. After taking the photos, participants returned to the same groups as after the third tornado to discuss their photos.

During the discussion, specific questions were used to guide the analysis:

  • Why did you choose this object?
  • How does this photo represent your current feelings?

Summary

The workshops enabled participants to:

  • Develop communication and empathy skills through shared photo analysis and exchange of impressions.
  • Experiment with photography as a tool for expressing emotions and reflection.
  • Understand different emotional perspectives among individuals from diverse cultures.

The activities were dynamic, engaging, and fostered participant integration.
