Organisations
We had good cooperation with each other from before but specifically, for this project, our needs were the basis for our cooperation and also our common goals that our organisations have individually and that are very much related to each other. Members of NGO Open Soul had collaboration before with Acpelia that was also very fruitful collaboration with the NGO Young Folks from Latvia. In that project, we all realized that we had ideas for better inclusion of groups that we regularly work with and wanted to create a new level of impact. In the last two years we cooperated a lot of trainings and through our discussions, we discover that each one can give to the others a lot of things and this change of the different procedures going to be one of the most productive ways in our project.
More specifically, Young Folks are active in the field of photography and larger activities with music and a lot of volunteers involved with them, and its contribution to youth wellbeing on a A larger scale will be very beneficial for other partners. Actually Young Folks in few years they created more than 7 departments with youngsters and through this explosion of their organisation they need all the time their youngsters to learn more things and to give their knowledge to other NGO and participants.
NGO Acpelia is active in the field of arts and those activities include dancing, theater, educational activities with games and action, and other performances where young people are able to learn about humanity issues through Non-Formal Education. Main activities are in the topic of art therapy, therapy with movement, dance and drama therapy. IF one field should be selected then art is the area where we have the most experience and could contribute the most.
Open soul is an organization formed from activists in the local community who have had prior experience in this field but just last year decided to form an NGO and to work through it even if they have had experience from before.
Every partner chose the strongest field in which contribution can be made and through which that partner could help others to grow and expand their activities in that field also. Besides that innovation and testing of new approaches could be done the best in that way, because those who are most experience one can build upon their one skills and help others to work more in depth. The final conclusion is that each of the partners will give and receive knowledge and practices from other organisations. OPEN SOUL as newcomer and hard working organisation can take in experience from both organisations and the other 2 organisations can take and receive one each other.
